Picking up the mic: 9/10/2025
Charlie Kirk has never been just a public figure to me- he’s been a real, personal influence on how I see purpose, conviction, and responsibility in today’s culture. Knowing him and working alongside the mission of Turning Point USA shaped not only my political awareness, but my sense of calling. This isn’t just about ideas or headlines; it’s about stepping into a role that demands clarity, courage, and consistency.
What struck me early on was Charlie’s willingness to engage where others hesitate. He doesn’t avoid tension- he walks straight into it, grounded in what he believes to be true. That example challenged me. It made me ask whether I was willing to speak up when it mattered, even when it wasn’t comfortable or popular. Watching that kind of conviction in action leaves an impression you can’t easily shake.
My goal with this platform is simple, but not easy: to draw attention to political and societal issues that matter, and to respond to them from a Biblical, conservative worldview. That means engaging in culture without being consumed by it. It means thinking critically, but also spiritually. And it means recognizing that behind every issue (policy, education, family, freedom) there are deeper truths about human nature, morality, and purpose.
One verse that continues to ground me is Genesis 50:20: “You intended to harm me, but God intended it for good to accomplish what is now being done, the saving of many lives.” That perspective is essential right now. We live in a time where confusion is often celebrated, and truth is often challenged. But this verse is a reminder that even in moments of division, chaos, or opposition, God is not absent. There is a bigger story unfolding.
That doesn’t mean sitting back passively. It means stepping forward with intention. It means bringing light where there is darkness, clarity where there is confusion, and truth where there is distortion. My hope is that this space becomes one where those conversations happen honestly and thoughtfully, without losing sight of the foundation they’re built on.
This is just the beginning. I am picking up the mic where Charlie left it.
